John was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle. John grew up on his family’s farm near Shamrock, Texas, and was involved with all aspects of the agriculture operation. He graduated from Amarillo High and went to Texas Tech University in 2003. He holds a BBA in Accounting, Juris Doctor, and Master of Laws in Taxation. After completing his education, John worked as an International Tax Attorney for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where the majority of his clients were private equity firms investing in oil and gas. After PWC, John entered the oil and gas industry, working for a field brokerage firm and then went in-house with a large family-operated mineral management company. John’s education and real-world experience have proven invaluable as his role of President of Land/General Counsel of Tomahawk Land Resources, LLC. John oversees all projects in all regions.
John, his wife, Andrea, and their daughter, Hollis, live on a small farm in Athens, Texas, where they raise multitudes of animals. John is an ardent outdoorsman and enjoys farming and traveling with his wife and daughter.
